Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Workday Absence & Time Tracking Senior Principal Consultant to lead end-to-end implementations and provide strategic guidance on workforce management processes. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Active Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking Certification required.
  • 5+ years of Workday implementation experience, including multiple end-to-end deployments.
  • Proven experience leading Workday Absence and Time Tracking workstreams on medium to large implementations.
  • Deep functional expertise in absence management, leave administration, time tracking, scheduling, workforce compliance, and payroll-related processes.
  • Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior Workday Absence and Time Tracking SME, guiding workforce management processes and best practices.
  • Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and design discussions to define scalable solutions.
  • Own solution design and provide oversight across configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
  • Act as functional lead for medium to large Workday implementations, managing decisions, risks, and dependencies.
  • Advise on absence management, leave administration, time entry, time calculation, scheduling, and compliance.
  • Partner with HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Integrations, Reporting, Security, Change Management, and Project Management teams.
  • Support testing, data conversion, cutover, deployment, and hypercare activities.
  • Mentor consultants and drive quality reviews and leadership.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities including estimations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Support practice development through methodology improvements and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain expertise in Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Scheduling functionality.
