Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Workday Absence & Time Tracking Senior Principal Consultant to drive design, delivery, and success of implementations. You will guide clients on workforce processes, lead workshops, and own end‑to‑end solution design, with oversight across configuration, testing, and deployment.

You will mentor teams, contribute to pre‑sales, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver integrated Workday solutions, while staying current on product innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Active Workday Absence and Time Tracking Certification required.
• 5+ years of Workday implementation experience across multi end‑to‑end deployments.
• Experience leading Workday Absence and Time Tracking workstreams on medium to large deployments.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive stakeholders.
• Eligible for UK Clearance and UK residency for the last five years.
• Willingness to travel on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior Workday Absence and Time Tracking subject matter expert.
• Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and design discussions.
• Own solution design and oversee configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
• Act as the functional lead for medium to large Workday Absence and Time Tracking implementations.
• Advise clients on absence management, leave administration, time entry, scheduling, and compliance.
• Partner with HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Integrations, Reporting, Security, Change Management, and Project Management teams.
• Support testing, data conversion, cutover, deployment, and hypercare activities.
• Mentor and coach consultants, providing quality reviews and leadership.
• Support business development activities including estimations, proposals, demonstrations, and presentations.
• Contribute to practice development through methodology improvements and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain expertise in Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Scheduling functionality.
