Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton is seeking a Senior Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Analysis Engineer to lead FDT analysis for wing structures. You will drive certification work, act as a signatory, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, weight-efficient designs.

The role involves shaping product strategy, introducing advanced analysis methods, and mentoring engineers in stress analysis and decision-making within a dynamic aerospace program.

Qualifications

• Established track record as a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance signatory on airframe structures.
• Experience defining approvals and progressing to full structural authorisation.
• Strong knowledge of FDT analysis methods and reference tools such as ISAMI, GISEH, Nastran/HyperWorks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of complex structural analysis challenges as FDT signatory.
• Define, validate, and revise assumptions and sizing rules for CS-25 certification.
• Be the primary technical focal point to Technical Authorities and Airworthiness Bodies.
• Introduce advanced engineering solutions and modern ways of working.
• Shape wing product strategy from an FDT perspective and deploy digital tools.
• Mentor engineers in first-principles stress analysis and decision-making.
