Airbus Operations Limited in Filton seeks a Lead Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to lead F&D T analysis for wing structures, sign off deliverables, and drive cross-functional collaboration across design, manufacturing, and flight physics teams.

You will mentor engineers, shape digital tooling adoption, and ensure designs are lightweight, manufacturable, and compliant with CS-25 and airworthiness standards.

Qualifications

• Signatory credential for F&D T analysis.
• Proficient with Airbus analysis methods and tools (ISAMI, GISEH, Nastran, HyperWorks).
• Strong leadership delivering engineering packages to gates (time, cost, quality).
• Proactive problem-solving with an eye for digital automation and process improvement.
• Clear communication of analytical data to stakeholders at high level.

Responsabilités

• Act as the formal signatory for F&D T deliverables, ensuring CS-25, safety, airworthiness, and customer requirements are met.
• Define, scope, and direct F&D T analysis packages, coordinating across internal teams, Chief Engineers, and suppliers.
• Mentor and develop junior to mid-level stress engineers, building capability and first-principles understanding.
• Collaborate with PMT and Digitalization to integrate automated stress workflows and sizing tools into daily practice.
• Interface with Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials & Processes, and Flight Physics for optimized, lightweight designs.
