Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Bristol Area seeks a Lead Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineer to lead F&DT analysis, verify CS-25 compliance, and drive cross-functional stress packages. You will mentor engineers, shape automation in workflows, and coordinate with design, manufacturing, and flight physics teams.

You will influence technical decisions, deliver robust wing analysis, and contribute to lightweight, safe aircraft structures within a dynamic program environment.

Qualifications

• Credible signatory for F&DT analysis.
• Proficiency with Airbus methods and tools (ISAMI, GISEH, Nastran, HyperWorks).
• Experience leading technical engineering packages to time/cost/quality gates.
• Proactive problem-solving with digital innovation and automation.
• Clear communication translating analytics into executive summaries.

Responsibilities

• Act as formal signatory for F&DT deliverables ensuring CS-25 compliance and airworthiness.
• Define, scope and direct F&DT analysis packages across multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior to mid-level stress engineers and develop capability.
• Collaborate with PMT and Digitalization to automate stress workflows and parametric tools.
• Interface with Design, Manufacturing, Materials & Processes, and Flight Physics for optimized designs.
