Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in the Bristol area is seeking a Senior Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join the Wing Analysis Engineering team. You will lead complex structural analyses and act as the F&DT approval signatory for critical wing deliverables.

The role involves defining and validating sizing rules and methods, liaising with Technical Authorities and airworthiness bodies, and coaching engineers in first-principles stress analysis while driving technical innovation and weight-saving

Qualifications

• Established track record as a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Approval signatory.
• Detailed working knowledge of F&DT analysis methods and tools (ISAMI, GISEH, Nastran/HyperWorks).
• Leadership experience delivering work packages to cost, quality, and schedule milestones.
• Skilled at navigating multi-functional stakeholder networks to align airworthiness requirements with programme expectations.
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical data to decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of complex structural analysis challenges.
• Act as F&DT approval signatory and progress toward full structural authorisation for critical wing deliverables.
• Define, validate, and revise core assumptions, sizing rules, and analytical methods for CS-25 airworthiness certification.
• Liaise with Technical Authorities, Chief Engineering, and Airworthiness Bodies.
