Job summary

Garmin UK is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to design and implement complex Windows server solutions, deploy and troubleshoot Azure Hypervisor, and provide on-call incident support. The role includes mentoring junior IT staff and aligning projects with regulatory requirements such as SOX and PCI.

You will work in a collaborative team, communicate effectively about system changes, and contribute to roadmap planning while delivering cost-effective, reliable technology services.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to author and implement basic scripting to automate tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication in small teams.
Experience applying SOX and PCI regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops complex solutions for Windows server environments.
Deploys and troubleshoots Windows Azure Local Hypervisor.
Provides 24x7 on-call support as part of a rota.
Leads major incident troubleshooting and cross-disciplinary coordination.
Mentors junior IT Administrators and guides team roadmap.
Ensures security and regulatory compliance (SOX, PCI).
