Job summary

DXC Technology seeks a senior, multiskilled engineer to design, deploy, and operate Windows Server and RDS platforms. You will manage patching (WSUS/SCCM/Ivanti), packaging, and OS deployment, while driving automation and mentoring junior staff. Eligibility for UK security clearance is required.

The role is on-site five days a week, supporting enterprise environments within a healthcare/defence context. Strong automation and scripting skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise Windows Server and RDS platforms.
• Manage patching via WSUS/SCCM and Ivanti; ensure compliance.
• Lead automation for patching, deployment, and monitoring; mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with IT Security for vulnerability remediation.
• Develop SQL queries and SSRS reports for inventory, deployment, and patch status.
• Lead root-cause analysis for major incidents and maintain runbooks.
