Job summary

Speechify is seeking a senior Windows desktop developer to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of native Windows apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML. You will own features end-to-end and drive quality, performance, and accessibility across releases.

You will collaborate with designers, QA and engineers to shape the Windows platform roadmap, mentor teammates, and set technical standards. You’ll diagnose bugs and optimize memory and rendering across releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK/WinUI and C#.
• Experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM) is preferred.
• Understanding interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production desktop apps with reliability and performance.
• Strong accessibility experience and focus on inclusive software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK and related UI frameworks.
• Define best practices for code architecture, performance, and cross-version compatibility.
• Drive accessibility efforts across UI controls, focus management, and screen-reader support.
• Collaborate with product designers, QA, and stakeholders to shape feature planning and long-term roadmap.
• Own full lifecycle of features from conception to release and maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, rendering issues.
