Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Qualified Senior Wellbeing Practitioner/Supervisor (Band 6) to supervise EMHPs in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch as part of Mental Health Support Teams in Schools. This role involves leadership, supervision, and ensuring high-quality low-intensity CBT delivery to children and young people.

Applicants should hold a Low Intensity CBT qualification with CYP or adult experience, and be prepared for a part-time training programme

Qualifications

• Qualified EMHP or CWP with at least two years experience
• Experience of supporting training or junior staff in schools
• Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management and willingness to support others to manage risk
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to deliver group interventions and training to professionals
• Willingness to be part of leadership and to move into management with high support/high challenge

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical work delivered by Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and those in training
• Provide clinical supervision, guidance and leadership to colleagues
• Contribute to development of clinical and operational processes within the service
• Support whole-school emotional wellbeing work with schools and training delivery
• Promote safe, ethical practice and ensure confidence in the team
