Job summary

Unity is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Web Platform team to advance the Unity Web runtime. You will own core areas from design to release, optimize builds and startup, and help bring multi-threading to the browser runtime.

You will work with engineers who helped invent the browser tech Unity uses, mentor teammates, and contribute to cutting-edge browser integration for real-time 3D content.

Qualifications

• Advanced, hands-on C++ in performance-sensitive code.
• Experience with WebAssembly and toolchains (Emscripten/LLVM).
• Ability to break down complex problems and act with technical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful areas of the Unity Web runtime from design through release.
• Research, design and implement optimizations for the Web build target.
• Improve download size, load and startup performance for Web builds.
• Solve low-level problems across C++, C#, and JavaScript across the runtime and browser boundary.
• Collaborate with Web platform teams to translate needs into platform work.
• Mentor teammates and raise code quality standards.
• Keep Unity at the frontier of Web capabilities.
