Job summary

iStandUK, hosted by Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, is seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead the technical development of its digital platforms, products and services. This hybrid role involves contributing across the full software lifecycle, collaborating with iStandUK and Tameside colleagues, and shaping solutions with ASP.NET, C#, React and AI-enabled tooling to improve public services.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience developing web-based applications in a senior DevOps environment.
• Strong skills in modern development tools and technologies and a commitment to accessible, user-centred design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and delivery of iStandUK’s digital products, platforms and services.
• Provide technical guidance as part of the iStandUK technical group.
• Design, develop, test and deploy standards-based applications and automation using ASP.NET, C#, React, Next.js, MongoDB and related tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver innovative, user-centred digital solutions.
• Ensure websites and services align with Government Digital Service standards and design principles.
• Expand automation and AI-based tooling to improve efficiency and service delivery.
