Job summary

Tilbury Douglas seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and oversee the engineering function across water and wastewater infrastructure. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, set governance and assurance frameworks, and ensure designs meet client and regulatory standards.

The role requires extensive experience in D&C delivery, NEC4/NEC3/IChemE contracts, and handover readiness, with a focus on safety, sustainability, and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE, IMechE, IET, or CIWEM.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to engineering teams across water and wastewater projects.
• Set technical standards, governance processes, and assurance frameworks for quality and safety.
• Oversee engineering input across feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Drive innovation, value engineering, and BIM adoption.
• Support commercial teams during contract reviews and change management.
• Build strong relationships with water companies, regulators, and stakeholders.
