Unknown in Randburg, Gauteng, ZA, is seeking a dedicated Process Design Engineer to develop and optimize water and wastewater treatment processes for municipal and industrial clients. You will lead the creation of PFDs and P&IDs, perform balances, and select appropriate treatment technologies.

You will work across project phases from conceptual design to commissioning support, collaborating with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure robust, compliant designs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of process design experience in water/wastewater.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (BioWin/AqWise) and knowledge of RO/UF/MF.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., SANS).

Responsabilidades

• Develop PFDs and P&IDs for water treatment plants.
• Perform mass and energy balances and equipment sizing.
• Select treatment technologies and design processes.
• Prepare design reports and operating manuals.
• Support construction and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and client requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
