Job summary

Arup is seeking a senior process engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams across the municipal and industrial water sectors. You will work from concept designs through detailed engineering, directing teams to deliver within timelines and budgets, with exposure to potable water, wastewater, and biosolids processes.

You’ll develop mass and energy balances, process data sheets, control philosophies and commissioning plans, while contributing to fee proposals, feasibility studies and capital cost

Qualifications

• Degree in chemical engineering or similar required.
• Experience leading process engineering teams to deliver on time and budget.
• Familiar with Biowin/GPS-X modelling software and hazard studies (HAZOP).
• Experience in highly regulated sectors and delivering process design in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to develop fee proposals, PID's, plant layouts and energy/mass balances.
• Experience creating feasibility studies and capital cost estimates.
• Line manager responsibilities and supporting early careers.
• Digital design approaches and current design software experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinating work across disciplines and liaising with engineers.
• Develop mass and energy balances, process data sheets, control philosophies and commissioning plans.
• Prepare reports, fee proposals and feasibility studies for plant operating and capital costs.
• Join the mentoring programme and help shape the future pipeline of process engineers.
• Apply digital approaches and current analysis/design software to solve problems.
