Job summary

Avove is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join its expanding Water Design Team. You will deliver process design for water and wastewater projects across feasibility to detailed design, developing robust solutions and leading unit process selection and calculations.

You will work across a multi-disciplinary environment, supporting project delivery, safety studies, and client engagement while mentoring junior engineers and upholding industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and optimising water and/or wastewater treatment processes from concept to detailed design.
• Site experience including surveys, commissioning and on-site adaptation.
• Experience leading or contributing to process safety studies (SWIFT, HAZOP, LOPA, DSEAR).
• Clear and high-quality technical reporting and documentation.
• Collaborative leader within multi-disciplinary teams to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of practical, compliant process engineering solutions aligned with project scope.
• Deliver process design outputs: calculations, flow/mass balances, P&IDs and diagrams.
• Contribute to control philosophies and commissioning strategies.
• Analyse data to inform robust design decisions and provide technical reports.
• Mentor and supervise early-career engineers.
