Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial leadership across a portfolio of water and environmental projects in the UK. You will embed a culture of commercial excellence while balancing client expectations, staff development, and overall business performance.

You’ll lead risk assessment, governance, and reporting with multi-disciplinary teams, applying NEC 3/4 principles and robust cost control. A collaborative, problem-solving mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant discipline is required.
Background in quantity surveying and project commercial management.
Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Solid knowledge of NEC 3/4 contract administration.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead commercial services for water/environmental projects with internal and external clients.
Provide risk and commercial advice across bid and project lifecycles.
Ensure governance and reporting of project commercial performance.
Analyse projects and report issues from commercial/financial perspectives.
Manage commercial risk and changes with rigour and transparency.
Align activities with internal standards and external requirements.
Support business improvement initiatives within the commercial team.
