Job summary

Arcadis in the UK is seeking a Senior Wastewater Modeller to join our Water Management team. This role can be undertaken from any Arcadis office in England & Wales, with collaboration and proactive problem solving at its core.

You will work on wastewater infrastructure modelling, supporting design teams, and addressing flooding, CSO spills, and network resilience while complying with UK regulatory requirements such as WINEP.

Qualifications

• Expertise in hydraulic modelling for wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in InfoWorks ICM and GIS packages.
• HADES knowledge would be advantageous.
• Working towards membership of a relevant professional institution (ICE or CIWEM).
• Experience with model quality assurance procedures.
• Advanced spreadsheet-based data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure modelling projects, managing tasks of various scales.
• Conduct technical reviews of wastewater models, oversee model build and verification of sewer networks, oversee survey specifications and management, develop strategic solutions to mitigate flooding and reduce CSO spills
• Provide support to designers at concept outline and detailed design stages
• Resolve technical modelling challenges on projects and contribute to advancing the team's technical expertise
• Ensure project components, including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies, comply with relevant standards and project requirements
• Work alongside specialists from other engineering and environmental disciplines to ensure project integrity.
• Liaise effectively with the Project Director or Manager and the client to support project progress.
• Foster a collaborative work environment by actively supporting your professional development.
