Job description

We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Wastewater (Hydraulic) Modellers for various long-term frameworks across the UK.

RPS, alongside Tetra Tech, has secured a £100 million single-award framework from United Utilities to enhance river health in Northwest England, supporting projects under this 10-year program aimed at delivering sustainable water services.

About The Team:

Our Water Consulting team comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts dedicated to Asset Management and Operational Strategy, working on innovative projects with a focus on industry challenges and opportunities.

About You:

You should have experience with urban drainage projects, proficiency in InfoWorks ICM and GIS software, and demonstrate strong teamwork, leadership, and client service skills.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver hydraulic modelling and catchment strategies within project scope, time, and budget.
2. Assess solution feasibility considering engineering factors.
3. Improve tools, procedures, and processes for efficiency and innovation.
4. Ensure quality and compliance of outputs.
5. Travel to client sites or offices as needed.
6. Lead and manage project teams, fostering strong client relationships.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Knowledge of water industry legislation and regulation.
• Experience managing projects and programs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Expertise in InfoWorks ICM and related hydraulic modelling tools.
• Proficiency in MS 365, GIS, and additional tools like FME, Python is advantageous.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a relevant technical subject; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
• Chartered or working towards chartership.
• Membership or in the process with professional bodies like IET, InstMC, or CIWEM.
