We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Wastewater (Hydraulic) Modellers for major long-term frameworks across the UK, including a £100 million framework supporting river health improvement for United Utilities in the Northwest of England.

About The Team

RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy for water industry clients, tackling industry challenges with innovation and teamwork.

About You

Your role as a Senior Wastewater (Hydraulic) Modeller is vital to delivering impactful projects for our water industry clients, working within a multidisciplinary team on capital delivery projects.

You will contribute to option development, design, and execution across various frameworks, focusing on technically demanding wastewater infrastructure projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver wastewater catchment strategies, hydraulic modelling, analysis, and related studies, ensuring projects meet time, budget, and quality standards.
• Assess solution feasibility and engineering buildability factors.
• Continuously improve tools, procedures, and processes for efficiency and innovation.
• Ensure output quality and compliance with standards and governance.
• Travel to client sites or other offices as needed.
• Lead and build strong client relationships.
• Manage project teams, providing technical guidance, workload planning, and performance management.
• Collaborate with wider RPS/Tetra Tech disciplines.

Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

• Knowledge of relevant legislation and water regulation.
• Experience managing projects or supporting project managers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange.
• Deep knowledge in hydraulic modelling and wastewater infrastructure.
• Proficiency in MS 365, Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint.
• Knowledge of GIS Systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Experience with FME, Optimatics, Python (advantageous).

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant technical subject; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
• Chartered status or working towards it.
• Membership or near-membership in a professional body like IET, InstMC, or CIWEM.
