Job summary

P&S Personnel Rail is seeking a highly experienced Warehouse Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a busy, high-volume warehouse. This hands-on role requires decisive leadership to manage large teams, drive standards and ensure safety, efficiency and top productivity.

You will oversee Goods In/Out, picking, packing, stock control and dispatch; monitor KPIs, implement improvements and work with HR on recruitment and staff development.

Qualifications

• Extensive warehouse management experience across large-volume operations.
• Experience in Goods In / Goods Out, picking, packing, dispatch and stock control.
• Strong leadership, recruitment, staff training and disciplinary procedure experience.
• Excellent knowledge of inventory management and warehouse systems.
• Strong understanding of KPIs and productivity targets with data analysis skills.
• Solid understanding of health & safety requirements in warehousing.
• Up-to-date warehouse qualifications/certifications, including FLT if possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and motivate a large warehouse workforce including Team Leaders, Supervisors, Pickers and FLT drivers.
• Ensure Goods In and Goods Out operations are accurate and on time.
• Monitor productivity, performance and attendance; enforce accountability.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment, staff development and disciplinary matters.
• Monitor KPIs and produce regular performance reports.
• Implement efficient working practices and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and ensure equipment is maintained.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company policies.
