Purdicom seeks a Senior Warehouse Developer to lead stock control, order fulfilment and administration while supporting the Warehouse Manager. Based in Oxfordshire, this permanent, full-time role offers hands-on leadership, process improvement and a collaborative team environment.

You’ll coordinate with couriers, ensure safety and ISO compliance, and drive accuracy across the warehouse. The role includes great on-site amenities and a clear path to development within a fast-growing technology

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience essential.
• Experience mentoring or supervising in a warehouse setting.
• Confident communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with focus on accuracy and quality.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to hours when needed.
• Willingness to learn and understand warehouse procedures.

Responsibilities

• Stock control, booking in and replenishing stock accurately.
• Picking, packing and dispatching orders efficiently and accurately.
• Support stock takes and maintain stock accuracy.
• Assist Warehouse Assistants and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Support ISO accreditation activities and Health & Safety requirements, risk assessments.
• Ensure warehouse paperwork is completed, filed and archived.
• Coordinate with departments and respond to warehouse requests.
• Liaise with couriers to ensure timely collection and delivery.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to the Warehouse Manager when required.

What you’ll be doing

• Stock Control: Checking, booking in and replenishing stock accurately.
• Order Fulfilment: Picking, packing and dispatching orders efficiently and accurately.
• Inventory Management: Supporting stock takes and helping maintain excellent stock accuracy.
• Team Support: Assisting Warehouse Assistants, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and to agreed timescales.
• Compliance: Supporting ISO accreditation activities, Health & Safety requirements and risk assessments.
• Administration: Ensuring all warehouse paperwork is completed, filed and archived correctly.
• Collaboration: Responding to warehouse requests and queries from departments across the business.
• Courier Coordination: Liaising with couriers to ensure items are collected, shipped and tracked promptly.
• Leadership: Providing day-to-day support to the Warehouse Manager and deputising when required.

What you bring to the table

• Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working within a warehouse environment is essential.
• Team Leadership: Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising colleagues within a warehouse setting.
• Communication Skills: Confident communicating with people at all levels of the business.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Team Player: Able to work both independently and collaboratively to meet operational targets.
• Adaptability: Flexible approach to working hours when business needs require it.
• Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn and develop a detailed understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Forklift Truck experience or a willingness to undertake training.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 standards.
• A basic understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a warehouse environment.

The Logistics

• Due to our beautiful rural location, you'll need a full clean driving licence and your own vehicle .
• This is a hands-on role that includes manual handling and lifting of heavier items.
• Occasional travel may be required.
