Job summary

Bristol Culture and Creative Industries is recruiting Senior Visitor Assistants to join the Visitor Experience & Operations Team. This permanent, part-time role is 18.18 hours annualised, with a pattern of 24 hours per week from 1st April to 31st December, and pro-rata hours thereafter.

Permanent, Part Time 18.18 hours annualised contract. Working 24 hours per week from 1 st April until 31 st December, then not working 1 st January until 31 st March but aid 18.18 all year round. The rota pattern is 10:15-16:15 Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun.

Bristol Culture and Creative Industries delivers city-wide festivals, events, exhibitions and world class museums; be a part of the City’s dynamic, vibrant and forward-thinking team. We are looking for Senior Visitor Assistants to join the Visitor Experience & Operations Team.

We are looking for individuals who will deliver an outstanding service. You will have the passion and drive to define and deliver our commitment to customer care. You will ensure the safety and security of staff, visitors, buildings and museum collections.

This is a public facing role working with our visitors to ensure they have an engaging and memorable visit at our museums.

You will also support the Site Supervisor and take operational responsibility of daily running of the team. This on occasion, includes deputising for the Site Supervisor and being responsible for opening buildings.

Visitor Experience & Operations roles include working across all our sites Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, M Shed Museum, Blaise Castle House Museum, Georgian House Museum and Red Lodge Museum as required.

The role may include manual tasks and you will be expected to undertake relevant training to support your role. Training may take place outside of contracted hours, all training is paid.
