Job summary

Kybera is building autonomous systems infrastructure for industrial environments. We are seeking a Senior Vision SLAM Specialist to architect and scale visual SLAM, VIO and image-based mapping across localisation and perception pipelines.

You will lead multi-view geometry challenges, design end-to-end vision pipelines and ensure safe, reliable deployment in complex industrial settings. You’ll work with autonomy, mapping, perception and systems teams, owning the roadmap and delivering real-time,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in VSLAM, VIO, visual state estimation or related domains.
• At least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong C++ skills with Python for prototyping and testing.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technical roadmap for Vision SLAM, VIO and image-based localisation.
• Design and develop end-to-end pipelines: feature detection, tracking, map representation, loop closure and optimisation.
• Develop methods for visual-inertial fusion and uncertainty modelling.
• Support vision-based perception pipelines through camera calibration and sensor fusion.
• Establish validation methods, metrics and test processes for SLAM and localisation accuracy.
• Embed safety and fault detection into the Vision SLAM architecture.
• Collaborate with autonomy, mapping, perception and systems teams.
