Job summary

Scottish Ambulance Service based in Motherwell is seeking a Master Craftsperson (Vehicle Technician) to join a skilled workshop team. The role focuses on servicing and repairing emergency service vehicles to support front-line crews in the West Region.

You will work a 36-hour week, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend on-call. The post includes specialist training and NHS benefits to develop your skills and career within the service.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician with experience maintaining and repairing cars and light Commercial vehicles.
• Automotive apprenticeship completed or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and health and safety at work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair cars and light commercial vehicles to frontline service standards.
• Provide high-quality vehicle and equipment support with minimal supervision.
• Perform diagnostics and basic electrical work as needed.
• Contribute to the safety and efficiency of operations in the West Region.
