Scottish Ambulance Service based in Motherwell is seeking a Master Craftsperson (Vehicle Technician) to join a skilled workshop team. The role focuses on servicing and repairing emergency service vehicles to support front-line crews in the West Region.
You will work a 36-hour week, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend on-call. The post includes specialist training and NHS benefits to develop your skills and career within the service.
Scottish Ambulance Service are recruiting for a Master Craftsperson (Vehicle Technician) to be based at, Motherwell, Range Road, Fleet Workshop facility.
You will be one of a highly skilled and dedicated team reporting to the Workshop Chargehand. The successful candidate may be required to work from other Scottish Ambulance Service Workshops, on occasions. This is a dayshift position from 08:00 until 16:00 Mon – Fri. Weekend on call on a rota.
This is a full-time position working 36 hours Monday to Friday. You will also be required to be undertake occasional overtime and public holiday working. Motherwell Workshop has weekend On-call on a rota; all paid at the appropriate enhanced rate. If you are asked to work at another workshop it may a different shift pattern.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
