Job summary

Hawk Hiring is assisting a Worthing/Sompting-based independent garage that works on premium German brands and EVs. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with a 16:30 finish every Friday and no weekend work, in a modern, award-winning facility.

You will perform advanced diagnostics on HV systems and carry out major overhauls to manufacturer standards, supported by specialist EV training and premium workshop equipment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Experience with German brands or EV systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced fault-finding and diagnostics on modern petrol, diesel, and high-voltage EV systems.
• Execute mechanical overhauls (clutches, belts, timing chains) to manufacturer standards.
• Use dealer-level diagnostic tools to resolve electrical/mechanical issues efficiently.

What you will be doing:

• Performing advanced fault-finding and complex diagnostics on modern petrol, diesel, and high-voltage EV systems
• Executing major mechanical overhauls (clutches, timing belts, and timing chains) alongside routine servicing to manufacturer standards
• Utilising dealer-level diagnostic tools to solve intricate electrical and mechanical issues efficiently
• Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent), valid UK Driving Licence, and ideally 5+ years of main dealer or high-standard independent experience (German brand or EV exposure is a huge plus)

Commutable Locations:

This role is based in Worthing / Sompting, making it an easy commute from Lancing, Shoreham-by-Sea, Littlehampton, Brighton, and Horsham.
