Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of an established automotive business in Bury for a capable Vehicle Technician to join its workshop team. The role focuses on diagnosing faults and performing advanced mechanical repairs, with a mobile servicing operation that keeps workshop work varied and hands-on.

This is not a typical servicing role; expect diagnostics, engine, transmission, steering and suspension work, all completed in a workshop setting Monday to Friday with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working on engines, transmissions, steering and suspension.
• Relevant automotive qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently and ensure repairs are completed correctly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform varied mechanical and diagnostic repairs.
• Work on engines, transmissions, steering and suspension components.
• Carry out ramp-based repairs and active fault resolution.
• Maintain workshop safety and high-quality workmanship standards.

I'm recruiting on behalf of an established automotive business in Bury for a capable, hands-on Vehicle Technician to join its workshop team.

This isn't your typical servicing role.

The business has a dedicated mobile servicing operation, meaning the workshop concentrates on vehicles requiring more involved mechanical repairs, diagnostics and ramp-based work.

• £40,000–£45,000 basic salary, dependent on experience

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
• Confidence diagnosing and repairing more complex faults
• Experience working on engines, transmissions, steering and suspension
• Relevant automotive qualifications or equivalent practical experience
• The ability to work independently and take pride in getting repairs right

You don't necessarily need to be a Master Technician. We're looking for someone who genuinely knows their way around a vehicle and enjoys the mechanical side of the job.
