Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Vehicle Technician in Preston. In this full-time position you will join a well-equipped workshop and a friendly team dedicated to high-quality servicing and repairs.

The role offers a salary between £35,000 and £40,000 (dependent on experience), Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with optional Saturday overtime at enhanced rates. Valid UK driving licence and relevant qualifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician.
• Level 3 qualification preferred; Level 2 or no qualification considered.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Own tools preferred; workshop tools available.
• Reliable and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, oil changes, suspension repairs, exhaust replacements, and brake work.
• Engine repairs, turbo diagnostics, timing belt replacements, clutch work, and gearbox repairs.
• Completing accurate job cards and workshop documentation.
• Supporting MOT testing, subject to qualification, or assisting with MOT preparation.
• Managing a personal workload independently while contributing to team goals.
• Ensuring high standards of quality and safety across all mechanical repairs.

• Own tools are preferred; workshop tools are available
• Reliable, practical, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
