Job summary

Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior Consultant with life sciences software programming experience to help customers maximize the value of EDC on Vault CDMS. This is a full-time, remote role open to UK and EU candidates.

You will act as trusted advisor, lead database development, configure data transfers, run UAT, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with travel up to 10%.

Experience with SAS, R, JSON, Python or SQL and a life sciences background is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with EDC clinical software, covering end-to-end data management
• Solid understanding of clinical trial processes, particularly around data collection and review
• Programming experience in SAS, R, JSON, Python, or SQL
• Background in the life sciences industry with experience across project assessment, planning, development, training, and implementation
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within software professional services or consulting
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while meeting timelines
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, potentially including international travel

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers and clinical sites, ensuring trial designs meet goals and providing training
• Interpret clinical protocol requirements and project specifications applying best practices
• Lead database development activities per the project plan and coordinate with sponsor, CRO, and vendors
• Coordinate with clinical data providers to configure data transfers
• Configure forms, rules, and study items in Vault CDMS and build SQL-based listings
• Run on-site or remote user acceptance testing and manage feedback and issue resolution
• Support requirements gathering and specification writing for integrations and go-live activities
• Flag risks and contingency plans to keep the project compliant with regulatory and internal procedures
• Contribute to process, product, and best-practice initiatives and support developers/testers
• Share data management activity feedback with Vault CDMS product team
• Configure and support data imports into Veeva DQS
