Job summary

Unity Advisory is seeking a Senior VAT Manager to join a fast-paced, collaborative team. You will champion VAT strategy, liaise with tax authorities, and guide clients on complex indirect tax issues within a lean, AI-enabled advisory environment.

Qualifications

• CTA/ATT or equivalent tax qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert VAT advisory services to clients in the UK, EU, and globally.
• Develop VAT strategies aligned with clients' commercial objectives.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on advisory projects.

• Liaise with HMRC and other authorities on VAT matters.

The Role

As a result of Unity Advisory's growth and success, we are looking to hire a Senior VAT Manager. You will have experience in working in a fast paced and complex environment and be collaborative to find the right solution for your clients. You will be highly client centric and able to build long lasting relationships which are valued by your clients. You will also be proactive in taking value enhancing solutions to your clients in both tax and more broadly. Responsibilities

• Provide expert VAT advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with UK, EU and global indirect tax regulations.

• Develop and implement VAT strategies for clients that align with commercial drivers.

• Build strong and trusted relationships with clients.

• Work with leading experts across a range of advisory areas in multi-disciplinary teams.

• Proactively use data and analysis tools to identify opportunities and risks for clients.

• Liaise with HMRC and other tax authorities on VAT-related matters.

• Stay updated on changes in VAT legislation and advise clients on the implications.

• Train and mentor junior staff on VAT compliance and advisory matters.

What You'll bring:

• Professional qualification in tax (e.g., CTA, ATT) or equivalent experience.

• Extensive knowledge of UK and EU VAT regulations and compliance requirements.

• Experience to identify and lead technology enabled solutions to client issues.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and tax authorities
