Job summary

Autograph Recruitment is looking for an experienced Accountant in Bridgend. This full-time, permanent role involves overseeing VAT compliance, preparing year-end accounts, and supporting clients with their accounting needs. You will collaborate with a junior team member and work with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.

The role offers a hybrid work model after probation, a pension scheme, 33 days annual leave, and opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong VAT knowledge and practical experience.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Support and work alongside a junior team member within the VAT function.
• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders and limited companies.
• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
• Prepare self-assessment tax returns.
• Respond to client queries and provide ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and reconciliations where required.
