Job summary

Autograph Recruitment in Bridgend is seeking an experienced Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice. You will oversee VAT compliance across a varied client portfolio and work closely with a junior team member to ensure VAT returns are prepared accurately and submitted on time.

You will also prepare year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, self-assessment tax returns and support clients with day-to-day accounting requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong VAT knowledge and practical experience
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns
• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and client-focused approach

Responsibilities

An established and growing accountancy practice in Bridgend is looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team.

You will be responsible for overseeing VAT compliance across a varied client portfolio, working closely with a junior team member to ensure VAT returns are prepared accurately and submitted on time. Alongside this, you will be involved in the preparation of year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, self-assessment tax returns, and supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting requirements.

This is a varied hybrid role that would suit someone who enjoys working directly with clients, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, and is looking to join a business during an exciting period of growth.
