Job summary

Autograph Recruitment is looking for an experienced Accountant in Bridgend. This full-time, permanent role involves overseeing VAT compliance, preparing year-end accounts, and supporting clients with their accounting needs. You will collaborate with a junior team member and work with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong VAT knowledge and practical experience.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Support and work alongside a junior team member within the VAT function.
• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders and limited companies.
• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
• Prepare self-assessment tax returns.

Job: Accountant

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

An established and growing accountancy practice in Bridgend is looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team.

You will be responsible for overseeing VAT compliance across a varied client portfolio, working closely with a junior team member to ensure VAT returns are prepared accurately and submitted on time. Alongside this, you will be involved in the preparation of year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, self-assessment tax returns, and supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting requirements.

This is a varied hybrid role that would suit someone who enjoys working directly with clients, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, and is looking to join a business during an exciting period of growth.

The Role
