Job summary

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiologist with vascular imaging/interventional expertise to join the Wakefield-based Interventional Radiology team. The role includes on-site duties across Wakefield, Dewsbury, Pontefract, and possibly a Diagnostic Centre, with a 10 PA timetable including SPA.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with licence to practise.
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Radiology or within 6 months of obtaining CCT (or CESR/equivalent).
• Medical Degree from recognised medical school.
• FRCR or equivalent.
• Subspecialty training and experience in Vascular Imaging/intervention post FRCR 2B.
• Experience in general cross-sectional reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support and enable the Interventional Radiology team to deliver a sustainable service for acute and elective pathways.
• Report vascular MRI/CT and ideally cardiac CT.
• Participate in the weekly Vascular MDT with vascular radiologist and surgeons.
• Contribute to the department's general radiology workload including acute CT.
• Participate in the non-vascular interventional on-call rota (1 in 8).
• Engage in teaching/leadership roles and possible SPA/DCC time as required.
