Job summary

Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust seeks an experienced Interventional Radiologist to join the team at Wakefield (Pinderfields). The post supports vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures with on-site and optional cross-site activity.

The role includes monthly on-call duties, reporting vascular MRI/CT and contributing to MDTs. The successful candidate will join a large radiology service with flexible time planning and SPAs as required.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with licence to practise.
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Radiology or within 6 months of obtaining CCT.
• Medical Degree from recognised medical school.
• FRCR or equivalent.
• Subspecialty training and experience in Vascular Imaging/intervention post FRCR 2B.
• Experience in general cross-sectional reporting.

Responsibilities

• Complement the Interventional Radiology team across diagnostic subspecialties.
• Support and enable delivery of a sustainable excellent service for acute and elective pathways.
• Report specialist vascular MRI, CT and ideally cardiac CT.
• Support weekly Vascular MDT with radiology and surgical colleagues.
• Contribute to the departmental general radiology workload including acute CT.
• Participate in non-vascular interventional on-call rota (1 in 8) and associated duties.
• Teleradiology access and remote reporting arrangements.
