Job summary

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiologist to join the Head & Neck Radiology team, delivering MRI/CT reporting and ultrasound-guided interventions across Wakefield, Dewsbury, Pontefract and Pinderfields. The role includes supporting cancer pathways and a weekly MDT, with flexibility for on-site presence across campuses.

Qualifications

Full GMC Registration with licence to practise.
Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register for Radiology or within 6 months of obtaining CCT (or CESR / equivalent).
Medical Degree from recognised medical school.
FRCR or equivalent.
Subspecialty training and experience in Head & Neck imaging/intervention post FRCR 2B.
Experience in general cross-sectional reporting.

Responsibilities

Support and enable the Head & Neck Radiology team to deliver a sustainable service for acute and elective pathways, including cancer workload.
Report specialist MRI and CT findings, perform ultrasound-guided interventions, and support weekly MDT meetings.
Contribute to general radiology workload, including acute CT and on-call duties (1 in 20 evenings, 1 in 10 weekends).
Participate in on-call rota with consideration of working time regulations.
Teleradiology access and remote reporting capabilities across sites.
