Job summary

White Recruitment Construction is seeking a Commercial Sales Engineer for its Knutsford headquarters. You will blend technical understanding with commercial skill to win new business and manage key accounts.

You will prepare quotations, understand customer requirements, negotiate terms and drive proposals from enquiry to contract award, collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical products and the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Background in valves, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy or a related industrial sector.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• A proactive, organised approach and a genuine passion for customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Preparing technical quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
• Managing customer enquiries from initial contact through to order.
• Negotiating pricing and commercial agreements.
• Developing new business while growing existing customer relationships.
• Collaborating with engineering, production and quality teams to deliver customer requirements.
• Keeping CRM records up to date and providing market feedback to support future growth.
