Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Senior Valve Design Engineer for a well-established valve manufacturer in Brighouse. You will lead design concepts, develop new valve ranges, and mentor junior engineers, ensuring compliance with PED and ASME/ISO standards.

You will produce calculations, FE analyses, and design reports, liaising with manufacturing and customers to deliver robust solutions and effective test programs. The role offers a 39-hour week and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of valve design experience.
• Expert CAD user; AutoCAD essential, SolidWorks preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PED Regulations and ASME/BS/ISO/API standards.
• Ability to interpret contract design specifications and technical requirements.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills; capable of mentoring juniors.

Responsibilities

• Lead design concept and development of new valve ranges.
• Produce calculations and design reports for valve design including structural analyses.
• Handle material, valve sizing, and actuator sizing.
• Create design files, manufacturing procedures, risk assessments, and maintenance manuals.
• Manage transfer of design information, drawings, BOMs, and procedures.
• Liaise with manufacturing to provide technical advice during manufacture and test.
• Deliver presentations to high-level customers and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers to strengthen the team.
