Job summary

Newmark in Manchester is seeking a Senior Surveyor-level Valuation Surveyor to join the team. The role involves a varied range of valuation instructions across commercial and residential property, with emphasis on client management and business development.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced valuation professionals, oversee instructions from engagement to completion, and contribute to the growth of Newmark's valuation offering in the North West.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualified with post-qualification valuation experience.
• Strong valuation knowledge across commercial and residential sectors.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple instructions and deadlines.
• Proactive business development and client relationship management.
• Commercial awareness and interest in property markets.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and lead a broad range of valuations across asset classes.
• Prepare high-quality valuation reports in line with professional standards.
• Provide valuation advice for lending, financial reporting, acquisitions and disposals.
• Inspect properties and analyse market evidence, rental data, and trends.
• Develop relationships with clients, lenders, investors and advisers.
• Manage valuation instructions from engagement to completion.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Newmark UK and international teams.
• Support growth of the Manchester valuation team and sector expertise.
• Mentor junior staff and share technical knowledge.
