Job summary

Newmark UK is seeking a Senior Surveyor-level, professionally qualified Valuation Surveyor to join our Manchester team. The role combines technical valuation work with client management, business development and active contribution to growth.

You will lead a broad range of commercial and residential valuations across asset classes, produce high-quality reports, and manage instructions from engagement to completion.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification with post-qualification valuation experience.
• Strong technical valuation skills and knowledge of professional standards.
• Experience across one or more commercial property sectors.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple instructions and deadlines.
• Confident client-facing and advisory capabilities.
• Proactive business development and relationship management.
• Commercial awareness and genuine interest in property markets.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and lead a broad range of commercial and residential valuations across multiple asset classes.
• Prepare high-quality valuation reports in line with professional standards.
• Provide valuation advice for secured lending, financial reporting, acquisitions and disposals.
• Inspect properties, analyse market data and wider market trends.
• Develop strong client relationships with lenders, investors and advisers.
• Manage valuation instructions from engagement to completion.
• Collaborate with colleagues across UK and international business.
• Contribute to growth of Manchester valuation team and market presence.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
