Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced UX/UI Engineer with strong banking domain expertise to lead end-to-end delivery from design through production support. The role involves designing UI solutions using semantic HTML, CSS, vanilla JS and Web Components, and mentoring teammates to raise capability.

You will contribute to accessible UI components and patterns, improve libraries, and ensure adherence to ARIA and WCAG principles while collaborating across offices, client sites, and remote work.

Qualifications

• Strong HTML/CSS/JS fundamentals with responsive, cross-browser support.
• Demonstrable UI visual design judgement and accessibility implementation.
• Experience with keyboard focus, labeling, headings, ARIA and WCAG.
• Experience contributing to reusable UI components, patterns and documentation.
• Portfolio demonstrating UI you designed and built, including accessible components.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end from requirements to production support.
• Break down work into stories and tasks; ship iteratively.
• Design UI solutions and implement with semantic HTML, CSS, vanilla JS and Web Components.
• Improve shared UI libraries, patterns and docs to drive adoption.
• Champion accessibility and semantic HTML standards; mentor juniors.
• Identify technical debt and help prioritise improvements.
