Job summary

Summer-Browning Associates Ltd on behalf of a Central Government client seeks a User Researcher (G7) for an initial 6‑month contract, with locations in London, Bristol or Manchester and about one day per week on site.

You will conduct user research in large, complex environments in line with the Government Service Manual, work in an agile team, and translate insights into design inputs for cyber security services.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting user research in large, complex environments.
• Ability to apply a range of user research methods to inform design decisions.
• Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research in line with the Government Service Manual.
• Work within an agile team to prioritise actions based on findings.
• Collaborate with designers, product researchers, and engineers to turn insights into design inputs.
• Present research findings clearly and persuasively to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities to adopt new methods and improve research processes.
• Support cyber security service development through user-centered evidence.
