Job summary

Eaton is recruiting UPS Commissioning Engineers for the UK South East region. The role involves commissioning large UPS systems, testing on customer sites, and configuring remote monitoring; you will work closely with hyperscale data centre environments and stakeholders to ensure safety and reliability.

Candidates should be based south of the UK and hold an HNC or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with knowledge of UPS and industrial protocols.

Qualifications

• Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Three-phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge.
• Good understanding of UPS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of large UPS systems.
• Understand online and line-interactive UPS systems.
• Understand and create commissioning scripts.
• Carry out site acceptance testing on customer sites.
• Use and understand power quality meters.
• Experience in thermography and reporting.
• Battery experience – VRLA and Lithium Ion.
• Set up and configure remote monitoring software.
• Communicate with key stakeholders on a technical level.
• Apply anti-static policies and procedures.
• Apply ECN process to all repairs.
