Job summary

Epic Games in London is seeking an experienced software engineer to advance cloud-enabled Unreal Editor features as UE6 evolves. You will contribute across the editor, cloud services, and creator workflows, shaping the developer experience for real-time collaboration.

You'll work with product and UX teams to deliver polished editor experiences, focusing on high-performance, scalable systems, and modern development practices such as AI-assisted programming.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ skills and experience in a large native codebase.
• Experience building user-facing tools and editor features.
• Experience with clients that interact with asynchronous or networked services.
• Strong understanding of parallelism, networking, latency, and failure handling.
• Experience working with Product, UX, and engineering teams to ship features.
• Experience with Unreal Engine or similar tools; Rust is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build Unreal Editor features that bring cloud-based collaboration into creator workflows.
• Implement responsive editor experiences that interact with asynchronous and distributed services.
• Work across editor, networking, storage, revision control, and UX systems for cloud-backed workflows.
• Collaborate with Product and UX to turn ideas into polished editor experiences.
• Partner with backend and infrastructure engineers on editor-cloud features.
• Apply modern development practices, including AI-assisted programming, to improve implementation, debugging, and iteration.
