Job summary

Universal Music Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to own and deliver AV infrastructure projects and contribute to application projects. Strong experience in enterprise AV deployment and migrations is required.

You will coordinate upgrades with partners, develop standards, document processes, and train teams, serving as liaison between business and IT while ensuring ITIL-aligned controls.

Qualifications

• Certified AV professional (CEA, CTS, CAT, or AVIXA) preferred.
• Engineering level experience in telephony routing in high volume workflows.
• Knowledge of standard AV protocols including Dante, AVB, SIP, H323, VOIP.
• AV install experience with Zoom, Cisco, MSTeams, and Meet rooms.
• Proficiency in AV design and global standardization.
• Proficiency in Conference room configuration and install.
• Ability to create upgrade and refresh plans for budgeting and end of life replacements.
• Ability to run large scale proof of concepts.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Solid written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.
• Fluent in English (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate AV upgrades and deployments with local partners and vendors.
• Own UMG’s Office AV strategy and direction.
• Develop and implement migration plans.
• Develop and maintain AV standards and procedures.
• Design and configure AV standards and conference rooms.
• Create and maintain configuration guides and knowledgebase articles.
• Install AV and conference equipment to support global standards.
• Turn over completed work to operations with documentation and training.
• Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and UMG IT.
• Review proposed solutions to ensure quality delivery.
• Align customer expectations with implementation plans.
• Provide status updates and performance communications.
• Assess, troubleshoot, and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution of build activities.
• Develop and present training on AV topics to teams.
• Serve as tier-4 escalation point for AV issues.
• Conduct proofs of concepts for AV technologies.
• Ensure ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management.
• Attend technical project reviews and ensure designs meet requirements.
