Job summary

Stride Resource Management Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to shape and grow a specialist Commercial Schemes portfolio. You will assess new opportunities, work directly with brokers and internal stakeholders to drive profitable growth, and influence portfolio evolution beyond individual underwriting decisions.

This role offers senior exposure without a traditional management path, with strong analytics, onboarding of new schemes, and close partnership with Sales and Operations.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial underwriting background.
• Experience working with brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to assess new schemes and manage portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialist Commercial Schemes portfolio with input into existing and new opportunities.
• Assess new schemes and partner with brokers to progress opportunities.
• Support onboarding and implementation of new schemes from underwriting and operational perspectives.
• Use MI and portfolio data to identify trends and profitability improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate across Underwriting, Sales and Operations to move opportunities forward.
• Contribute to the wider commercial plan and portfolio decisions.
