Job summary

Stride Resource Management Ltd is seeking a Midlands-based On-site Underwriter who will split time between home and on-site visits to four key offices. You’ll lead complex risk discussions, support account retention and terms on high-value property and casualty risks, and travel regularly to build client relationships.

You’ll act with autonomy, applying sound judgement and delivering practical underwriting guidance to the teams you support, with a strong focus on existing business.

Qualifications

• Experienced commercial underwriter with strong property/casualty knowledge.
• Comfortable handling high‑value, complex risks.
• Willing to travel regularly across the Midlands patch with a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discussions to retain accounts and balance client needs.
• Negotiate terms on complex risks and difficult renewals.
• Provide expert underwriting support to offices and build lasting relationships.
• Take ownership of underwriting decisions with autonomy and sound judgement.
