Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking a General Foreman to deliver tunnelling works on a major civil engineering project in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have tunnelling experience, a Gold CSCS card, and strong leadership to manage site teams and subcontractors.

The role focuses on supervising day-to-day tunnelling activities, coordinating labour, plant and materials, and ensuring health and safety standards are met while keeping works to programme.

Qualifications

• Gold CSCS card.
• SSSTS or SMSTS.
• Previous experience as a General Foreman or Foreman on tunnelling projects.
• Strong understanding of tunnelling operations and underground civils.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of RAMS and health and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervising site teams and subcontractors.
• Managing day-to-day tunnelling activities.
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme.
• Overseeing site operations and monitoring productivity.
• Delivering toolbox talks and maintaining health and safety standards.
• Liaising with Site Management and engineering teams.
