Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Hip Surgery with a focus on hip arthroplasty and arthroscopy. The post involves sharing trauma on-call duties with the team and delivering high-quality care across adult and pediatric orthopaedics.

The successful candidate will independently manage a busy hip and knee caseload, lead lists, and contribute to education, audits, and departmental development within the Orthopaedics Department.

Qualificações

• Full GMC registration and eligibility for Consultant post.
• Fellowship in Hip arthroscopy with expertise in hip arthroplasty and arthroscopy.
• Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of the United Kingdom or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Share the large clinical load with the current staff and participate in trauma call commitments.
• Independently manage and operate on own caseload, including hip/knee arthroplasty and arthroscopy with lists run without senior oversight.
• Contribute to teaching, supervision of trainees, and medical student education; participate in governance and quality initiatives.
